Il progetto nasce da una collaborazione sviluppatasi nel tempo attraverso sessioni, ascolti e momenti di ricerca condivisa nella taverna-studio del pianista, uno spazio intimo e raccolto dal quale il trio prende il nome. Attraverso composizioni originali e spazi aperti all’improvvisazione, The Cellar Project costruisce un linguaggio essenziale, influenzato dalle atmosfere del jazz strumentale europeo contemporaneo, dove melodia, interplay e silenzio convivono in un delicato equilibrio. Questo primo lavoro raccoglie otto brani nati lungo un percorso comune di ricerca e condivisione: una testimonianza sincera di un’identità musicale in continua evoluzione. The Cellar Project The Cellar Project is a trio featuring Orazio Saracino (piano), Giampiero Lupo (double bass) and Danilo Camassa (drums). The project grew out of a collaboration that evolved over time through rehearsals, listening sessions, and moments of shared musical exploration in the pianist’s cellar studio an intimate and welcoming space from which the trio takes its name. Through original compositions and passages open to improvisation, The Cellar Project develops an essential musical language, shaped by the atmosphere of contemporary European instrumental jazz, where melody, interplay, and silence coexist in a delicate balance. This debut album brings together eight compositions born from a shared journey of exploration and collaboration a sincere testimony to a musical identity in constant evolution.
